Belonging to Bridge

At Bridge Community Church, we believe in the idea of 'open community':

Rather than formal church membership we encourage a sense of belonging . We seek to create an environment where people can

• build relationships with each other
• experience the love of God
• participate in the life of the church
• journey towards faith in Christ

Our ethos can be expressed as:

'open at the edges, and committed at the core.'

• This acknowledges that feeling you belong takes time.
• We are all on a journey towards faith and deepening that faith.
• Belonging is not about being a 'member', but is through demonstrating commitment to our vision and one another.

Therefore the 'core people' of Bridge are motivated to:

• live passionately for Jesus
• build strong relationships with others
• serve one another & the wider community
• pray for one another
• hold to the vision and purpose of Bridge
• contribute financially to Bridge
• reach out to those who don't yet know Christ
